Noohra is a family-run lighting studio in Vancouver, B.C. creating handcrafted pieces inspired by the quiet wonder of light and the beauty of home. Rooted in purposeful design and honest materials, each lamp is thoughtfully designed to be treasured for years to come.
The idea of Noohra began with a childhood Christmas spinning lamp. Growing up, it captivated our imaginations and child-like curiosities through the soft movement of the light, the glow it brought into the room, and the feeling that something so simple could transform a space.
We created the Noohra Lamp to carry that same sense of warmth and wonder into everyday evenings.
The name Noohra comes from the Aramaic word for light—the language spoken by Jesus. This meaning continues to shape and inspire our work, reminding us of the beauty, warmth, and hope that God brings into our homes.
