What makes Noohra different from a traditional lamp or night light?
Noohra is designed to be both a beautiful lighting piece and an imaginative experience. The interchangeable artwork creates a softly moving scene that brings warmth, wonder, and a sense of story into your space.
Is Noohra only for children’s rooms?
Not at all. While it was inspired by the wonder of childhood, Noohra was designed to complement nurseries, bedrooms, playrooms, reading corners, and living spaces.
Can the lamp be used without the rotating artwork?
Yes. The lamp is designed to be beautiful on its own, offering a warm, ambient glow even without an artwork insert.
How often do you release new artwork collections?
We're always dreaming up new artwork! New collections will be released throughout the year, including seasonal designs and holiday favourites. Follow along on social media to be the first to know when new collections become available.
Will all future artwork fit my lamp?
Yes! Every Noohra artwork collection is thoughtfully designed to fit your lamp, making it easy to refresh your space with new scenes whenever you'd like. As we release new collections, you can simply swap the artwork and continue enjoying your existing lamp.
How it works
How does the artwork rotate?
The artwork rotates using a carefully designed internal turbine powered by the warmth of the light bulb. As the bulb warms the air inside the lamp, the turbine gently begins to turn, creating a slow rotation that brings each scene to life.
Does the artwork rotate automatically?
Yes. Once the lamp is turned on and has had a few moments to warm up, the artwork will begin rotating automatically. The gentle movement is powered naturally by the heat from the bulb, so there are no batteries, motors, or switches required.
Does the lamp make noise?
No! Noohra’s gentle movement is designed to be quiet, creating a peaceful atmosphere perfect for bedrooms, nurseries, and cozy spaces.
Can I adjust the brightness?
Yes! The Noohra Lamp is fully dimmable. Whether you're reading together, winding down for bedtime, or adding a soft glow to your living space, you can easily adjust the light to suit your needs.
Does the lamp need to stay plugged in?
Yes, the lamp plugs into a standard electrical outlet for continuous use.
How do I change the artwork?
Changing the artwork is quick and easy. Each artwork turbine features a small glass bearing at the top that rests on the lamp's pivot pin, allowing it to rotate smoothly.
To change the artwork, simply lift the existing paper turbine out through the opening at the top of the lamp. Carefully lower your new turbine into place, ensuring the glass bearing sits securely on the pivot pin.
Once your lamp is turned on, the warmth from the bulb will naturally begin to rotate the artwork, bringing the scene to life after a few moments.
What type of bulb does the lamp use?
The Noohra Lamp uses an E12 incandescent bulb, which provides the gentle warmth needed to naturally power the rotating artwork.

Each Noohra Lamp is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted in Canada. From the first sketches to the final details, every piece is created with care and intention.
Is each lamp handmade?
Yes. Each Noohra Lamp is carefully assembled by hand, with attention given to every detail. We believe the most meaningful pieces for our homes are the ones made with patience, care, and purpose.
What materials are used to make the lamp?
Every Noohra Lamp is thoughtfully crafted using carefully selected materials from around the world. We use premium German hardwood, finished with natural Canadian beeswax, along with thoughtfully sourced components from Italy, Japan, and China. The internal rotating artwork is handcrafted from premium Japanese rice paper, chosen for its delicate texture and ability to beautifully diffuse light.
How do I care for my Noohra Lamp?
Your Noohra Lamp is designed to be enjoyed for years to come. To keep it looking its best, gently dust the lamp with a soft, dry microfiber cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners or excess moisture. When changing the artwork, handle the Japanese rice paper turbine with clean, dry hands and store unused artwork in a safe place such as the original packaging box.
What if I need a replacement part?
If your artwork or another component is damaged, please contact us. We'll do our best to help with replacement parts whenever possible.

When will my order ship?
Each Noohra Lamp is thoughtfully handcrafted and carefully prepared before it leaves our studio. Orders are typically shipped within X–X business days. Once your order is on its way, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and the size of your order. Any available free shipping offers will be automatically applied at checkout.
